Round Rock is a city with small-town roots that reach back through time to 1848. Since the early '90s, when Dell Computers announced that its headquarters would be located on the edge of Williamson and Travis counties, Round Rock has blossomed from a little town with only one restaurant, into one of the most desirable places to live in Texas.
The Downtown District is a walkable adventure where you can take your kids to storytime at the Library or do Yoga at the Plaza then catch lunch at one of the many eateries in the area. It also has a vibrant nightlife where you can sample craft beer, listen to live music or look at the lights on the iconic water tower. And, if you have visitors from out of town, treating them to Round Rock Donuts is almost mandatory.
Round Rock has earned some impressive accolades including #5 Best Place to Buy a House by Niche and #2 Best Minor League Baseball Town by SmartAsset. This big, little city has also won national awards for public works, communication, and the Gold Medal Award For Excellence In The Field Of Park And Recreation Management.
